This beautiful pass is a major link between the Kullu Valley and Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal. Near Rohtang, there is a little lake named ‘Sarkund’ (Dashahr). During the traveling season, this lake is visited by a large number of travelers. It is believed that it is a blessed lake that cures illness forever.
This pass doesn’t get opened throughout the year. It opens from the month of May to November. Otherwise, it gets closed as during winters, the pass gets closed naturally due to heavy snow-fall and storms. Though, Rohtang pass is extremely famous tourist destination that allows you to enjoy the activities like trekking, skiing, Ice skating and many more.
